RUMOR HAS IT...
The first hint of trouble came on a Monday when the bell above the door tinkled not with a customer, but with a sigh of cold wind. The shop, Pawsome Cattitude, smelled of peppermint tea and sun-warmed cardboard boxes full of plush mice. It was the kind of place where catnip drifted like snow and every shelf held a small miracle—an excuse to pause, to pet, to smile.
Word traveled in hushed, half-believed whispers: The Grinch might drift through town, and some said he would slip his green fingers into the careful order of things, leaving behind a note or a trinket or something unexpected. The rumor traveled fast, slipping from the mouths of the morning crowd.
“Did you hear?” said Mrs. Grantham, who was the Accountant next door, leaning in with conspiratorial gravity. “People say the Grinch is coming to see if hearts can grow three sizes—bigger by way of a cat’s purr.”

CALLING ALL MEMBERS OF HOWL-a-VILLE...
A voice crackled to life over the town’s weathered PA system, a sound that could be mistaken for both a bark and a purr, depending on the listener’s mood. It was time. The mayor cleared his throat and spoke with a cadence that made the wind tilt its ear... “Calling all members of Howl-a-ville! Tonight, we gather for a chance to win the Grinch’s present left behind.”
Gasps fluttered through the crowd like delicate snowflakes. The Grinch’s present was mythical, rumored to be a curious artifact wrapped in questionable green shine, a trophy for those who could outwit the riddle and outpace the whiskers of fate.
There upon the table displayed a box, filled with goodies for all symbolizing that the greatest treasure lies in community, kindness, and a shared curiosity that embraces everyone, including our furry friends.
But who would receive this fabulous gift?
The Announcer then stepped onto the stage— “Test your knowledge of dogs and cats in the skill game,” he bellowed, and the crowd leaned in as if listening to a story about the very first tail wag.
Dogs with noses twitching, cats with tails flicking like metronomes... the rules were simple, but the game promised complication—because in Howl-a-ville, skill means knowing the heart of a creature, be it dog or cat.

And in true fashion the Grinch slipped his green fingers into the careful order of things by delaying this announcement,.. but since he has decided to leave us a gift behind, we're going to pay it forward and give to one of you! But how can we pick the one?

HOW IT WORKS:
- Enter your Full Name (First and Last) and Email information into the first box you see in the Dogs and Cats 101 Quiz: Test Your Knowledge on Facts and Myths skill game (this will enter your contact credentials for the drawing if you win), and then click SUBMIT.
- Follow through and answer the questions to the best of your ability. You must complete all six (6) questions in order to be entered into the drawing. Questions are fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, and true or false.
- Once you submit an answer, the "skill game" will let you know if it was right or wrong.
- After you have answered all six (6) questions, the "skill game" will prompt you on how many questions you got right and how many chances you earned for the drawing. At the same time, the "skill game" will also submit to us your number of chances and contact information.
- At the end of the "skill game" you will also see a box labeled "ANSWERS". You can click on this which will redirect you to a page where there are flip cards of all the answers to the questions.
- Then on Friday, December 26th at 9:00 p.m. CST, a winner will be chosen at random and the video posted to the website.
The Grinch Box
The Grinch Box will include "Grinch" themed dog toys, 2 Grinch dog scarves made by Biscuits & Barks, and healthy dog treats made by some of our following vendors: Biscuits & Barks, Canine Candy, and Bubba Rose... a $75 value.

We apologize to our feline families for not being able to offer a Grinch box... it seems as though we had a cat burglar break-in.
HOW TO ENTER AND RULES OF SUBMISSION
HOW TO ENTER: Beginning December 23, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. CST, through December 25, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CST, play the Dogs and Cats 101 Quiz: Test Your Knowledge on Facts and Myths skill game.
RULES: No more than one entry per email address per person is permitted. Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar entry method, or entering more than the number of times permitted, will void all entries and result in disqualification. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules.
ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open to natural persons who are: (a) residents of the 50 United States and (b) 18 years of age and older. By entering this Contest, participants accept and agree to be bound by the Official Rules and represent that they satisfy the eligibility requirements.
WINNER SELECTION/DRAWING: Once all entrants have been received by the deadline date, on Friday, December 26th, at 9:00 p.m. CST, there will be a drawing conducted to select the winner. That video will be posted to the website with the winning name.
